1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between LDN Web Design ("we", "us", "our") and the client ("you") upon engagement of our web design and development services. By proceeding with a project, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Domain Ownership

Upon commissioning a website, LDN Web Design registers and manages the domain on your behalf. The domain remains under our account unless you choose to take full ownership.

If you wish to take ownership of the domain at any point, you may do so for an additional fee. Once you become the registered owner of the domain, you will be responsible for all annual renewal fees charged directly by the domain registrar (e.g. Squarespace, GoDaddy, etc.). These renewal fees are entirely outside of our control and are determined solely by the registrar.

Please note: owning your domain does not remove the obligation to pay annual renewal fees. This cost is separate from any service fee paid to LDN Web Design.

3. Project Deliverables

We will deliver the agreed scope of work as outlined in your project proposal. Any changes to scope after sign-off may incur additional charges.

All design assets, code, and content produced by LDN Web Design for your project remain under our intellectual property until final payment has been received in full.

4. Payments

A deposit is required before any project work begins. Remaining payments are due on the milestones outlined in your proposal. Failure to pay on time may result in work being paused or the project being cancelled.

5. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive information shared during the course of the project, including but not limited to business strategies, client data, and financial details.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

7. Updates to These Terms

LDN Web Design reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued engagement with our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

Our Position on Refunds

Due to the bespoke and time-intensive nature of our work, all fees paid — including deposits, milestone payments, and final balances — are non-refundable once received.

This applies regardless of the reason for the request, including but not limited to: change of mind, business circumstances changing, dissatisfaction with work in progress, or project cancellation initiated by the client.

We strongly encourage all clients to review their brief, budget, and commitment before proceeding with a project. If you have questions prior to signing off, please raise them before making any payment.

No Exceptions

There are no exceptions to this policy. By engaging LDN Web Design and making any form of payment, you acknowledge and accept that all funds paid are non-refundable.

Your Right to Cancel

Clients may cancel their ongoing web design service at any time. However, cancellation does not entitle the client to any refund of payments already made — please refer to our Refund Policy for full details.

What Happens When You Cancel

If you choose to cancel your service with LDN Web Design, we will cease all ongoing work and maintenance associated with your project. You should not expect any further updates, support, or communication from us once a cancellation has been processed.

We reserve the right to take down, suspend, or repurpose any work that remains under our domain management in the event of non-payment or cancellation.

Purchasing Full Domain Rights

Purchasing domain rights means that ownership of the domain is transferred to you on the platform (e.g. Squarespace). Once transferred, LDN Web Design will remain as an editor on the account only — we will not retain ownership, and you will have full administrative control.

• The 10% domain transfer fee is a one-time payment at the point of cancellation.
• After transfer, you will be responsible for all ongoing domain renewal fees charged annually by the registrar.
• These annual renewal costs are set by the platform and are entirely outside of LDN Web Design's control.
• Ownership of the domain does not grant you access to any custom design files, code, or assets created by LDN Web Design unless separately agreed.

No Domain Transfer Requested

If you choose to cancel without purchasing domain rights, LDN Web Design retains full ownership and control of the domain. We are under no obligation to retain, preserve, or hand over any associated website, files, or content.

How We Price

Every project at LDN Web Design is quoted individually based on scope, complexity, timeline, and functionality required. We do not offer fixed-price packages because no two projects are the same.

Pricing is calculated based on: the number of pages, custom design requirements, integrations (e-commerce, booking systems, CRM tools), ongoing support, and the client's desired timeline.

Quote Process

Submit a brief via our quote form and we'll respond within 24 hours with a tailored proposal. The proposal will clearly outline what is included, what is not included, and the payment schedule.

Payment Structure

• An initial deposit is required before any work begins.
• Milestone payments are tied to project stages (design sign-off, development complete, launch).
• Final payment is due before the live launch of the website.
• Ongoing monthly retainers are available for maintenance and support.

Domain & Hosting Costs

We manage the domain on your behalf as part of the project. If you choose to take ownership of your domain at any point, you will assume responsibility for the annual renewal fee set by the registrar. LDN Web Design does not profit from domain renewal costs.

If you become the owner of the domain, you still must pay the yearly renewal fee to maintain ownership. This is non-negotiable and is dictated entirely by the domain registrar, not LDN Web Design.

Additional Work

Any work outside the original agreed scope will be quoted separately and requires written approval before work begins. We will always communicate costs clearly and upfront.
